MONSTER PAVING EMBARKS ON
SAFETY MEASURES FOR 2020
In 2020, Monster Paving and Landscaping embarked on an OSHA training program for its employees and sub-contractors and will be using Career Safe® for its training. Monster’s management team has already completed 30 Hours of OSHA Training.
It is expected by the end of 2020, each manager, foreman, worker and contractor working on commercial, municipal and industrial projects will have completed the 10 hour course. Each employee or sub-contractor who successfully completes the CareerSafe - OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry course shall receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry wallet card from the OSHA Training Institute (OTI).
In this course, Monster Paving Employees and Contractors will learn about the basics of OSHA, as well as many of the most common hazards in the Construction Industry, including: Fall Hazards, Avoiding Electrocution Hazards, Struck-By Hazards, Caught-In or -Between Hazards, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hand and Power Tools, Health Hazards in Construction, Excavations, Materials Handling, Storage, Use, & Disposal, Scaffolds, Safe Driving Practices, Preventing Workplace Violence, Hazard Communication, Emergency Action Plans & Fire Protection, Ergonomics, Welding & Cutting, Cranes, Bloodborne Pathogens, Industrial Hygiene
The OSHA Outreach Program provides training for workers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in construction industry.
Through this training, Monster Paving & Landscaping hopes to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and how to avoid them.
